Elsewhere on the Long Conference Buffet Line
As the U.S. Supreme Court's "long conference" begins today, another case of Mississippi interest to keep an eye on is United States v. Seale, for which the Fifth Circuit's certified question is up for the high court's consideration. So add that to Booker v. Mississippi and the rest of the Mississippi cases I'll be paying looking for when the Court announces its writs of certiorari.
Incidentally, Seale made SCOTUSblog's latest Petitions to Watch list -- which doesn't necessarily mean anything, of course, but is cool in that hey-I-think-I-just-saw-my-buddy-on-ESPN kind of way.
