Equipment Violation

For a guy whose career as a lawyer was always a fall-back plan from the dream of playing professional baseball, I was interested to see that a Montana jury has found an aluminum bat manufacturer liable for the death of a teenage pitcher. The bat maker's failure to warn led to a jury award of $850,000 in damages, and according to the AP, the trial judge is considering punitive damages to boot.
