Desperate Times?

Misery makes strange bedfellows, so the old saying goes. Apparently, so does a sanctions order.

The Mississippi Court of Appeals affirmed sanctions of nearly $5,000 against State Farm for discovery violations in Jones County Circuit Court, despite the insurance giant's (insert adjective of choice here) reliance on a 17-year-old dissenting opinion written by...wait for it...waaaaaait for it...then-Justice Chuck McRae of the Mississippi Supreme Court, who now makes his living as a thorn in the sides of insurance adjusters everywhere.

The Court's decision in State Farm v. Jones, No. 2008-CA-01727-COA, is available here.
