Working Overtime at COA
Judge Carlton's upcoming leave of absence from the Court of Appeals must help explain why the Court -- in what must be some kind of a record -- handed down a whopping twenty-three published opinions on Tuesday. As a comparison, consider that the Mississippi Supreme Court hasn't handed down that many opinions all year.
If you're keeping score, then Judge Carlton led the way with seven of Tuesday's opinions (again, that's got to be a record), followed by Judge Barnes and Judge Griffis, who (respectably) finished tied in second with four apiece.
